North Jersey Army National Guard Soldiers Start Pre-Mobilization Process At Fort Dix

 

 


WHO: Soldiers of the 2nd/113 Infantry Battalion headquartered in Riverdale and 250 Brigade Support Battalion from Teaneck.

 

WHAT: This is the first step in preparations to deploy the New Jersey Army National Guard's 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) in June 2008.  The Soldiers are going through Soldier Readiness Processing with the assistance of the Joint Readiness Center at Fort Dix. This summer upwards of 3,000 New Jersey Citizen-Soldiers will mobilize in support of the Global War on Terrorism in the largest deployment since World War II.

 

WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 10:30 a.m.

 

WHERE: Joint Training and Training Development Center, Fort Dix

 

DETAILS: This is the only opportunity to speak with deploying Soldiers prior to the Holiday season.  The Pre-Mobilization process starts up again in January.

The media will use the Fort Dix Visitors Center parking lot as a meeting point at 10:30 a.m. for escort.  The Visitors Center is located next to the Route 68 checkpoint.
