Veteran Leaders To Learn About

Outreach Programs

WHO: New Jersey's veteran service organization leaders will gather to learn more about Veterans Programs and newly established outreach effort which are being conducted by the New Jersey Dept. of Military and Veterans Affairs

 

WHAT: Veteran Organization Leadership Call

WHEN: Saturday, December 17 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: National Guard Armory, Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville

           

DETAILS: Members of the State Veterans Council and other leaders of veteran service organizations from across the state will attend the Leadership Call to hear from Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth, The Adjutant General; Brig. Gen. Maria Falca-Dodson, Deputy Adjutant General; Stephen G. Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs and all three Division Directors for Veteran Services, Veterans Programs and Veterans Healthcare Services. Governor-elect Corzine will attend contingent upon scheduled senate voting in Washington, D.C. The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will discuss the current outreach program to locate veterans statewide that might not be receiving all the benefits that are due to them. Presenters will look at current and planned improvements to the three veterans homes, the transitional housing program and the state veterans cemetery.
