West Deptford Resident Joins the New Jersey Army National Guard

Pfc. Herman, a student of Gloucester County College, has been assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 114th Infantry, located at the National Guard Armory in Woodbury. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Knox, Ky., and after completing basic; he will begin his advanced individual training as a Cavalry Scout. The Cavalry Scout serves as a member of a scout crew, squad, section, or platoon in reconnaissance, security, and other combat operations.
