Air Show To Salute The 100th Anniversary Of Powered Flight

Boyd Gaming Corporation's Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced it would present a special air show in cooperation with the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard; and Atlantic City on Wednesday, August 27, 2003.

"The men and women of the 177th Fighter Wing want to express their appreciation for the outstanding support the surrounding communities have shown since our mobilization in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE and the global war on terrorism," said Colonel Michael Cosby, Commander of the 177th Fighter Wing. "What better way to show that appreciation than to host an air show over the beautiful beaches of Atlantic City."

The entire air show, including the United States Air Force Thunderbirds and United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, will take place in front of the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Free to the public, the air show begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m.

Additional entertainment will include:

• Fly-bys orchestrated by the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey National Guard and 108th Air Refueling Wing
• F-15 East Coast Demonstration Team
• F-16 East Coast Demonstration Team
• A-10 East Coast Demonstration Team
• USAF Heritage Flight
• F-18 West Coast Demonstration Team
• U.S. Coast Guard off-shore search and rescue demonstration
• The Airshow will feature renowned airshow announcer Gordon Bowman-Jones and will be conducted by the 177th Fighter Wing with assistance from David Schultz Airshows, LLC.
