WHO: Employers and civic leaders will visit Citizen-Soldiers of the 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. This Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) visit includes employers from Waste Management, Local 102 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Middlesex County Sheriff's office, Willingboro Police Dept. and West Orange Police Dept. Civic leaders planning to attend include Assemblywomen Cleopatra Tucker, District 28 and Jersey City Mayor Jerry Healy.

WHAT: This is the first step in preparations to deploy the New Jersey Army National Guard's 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) in June 2008. The Soldiers are going through Soldier Readiness Processing with the assistance of the Joint Readiness Center at Fort Dix. This summer upwards of 3,000 New Jersey Citizen-Soldiers will mobilize in support of the Global War on Terrorism in the largest deployment since World War II.
