Newark Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard

Pvt Jefferson, a Hillcrest High School (N.Y.) graduate, has been assigned to E Company, 50 th Main Support Battalion located at the National Guard Armory in Jersey City. After completing Basic Training at Jackson, S.C., he will attend Advanced Individual Training as a Light-Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanics perform maintenance and recovery operations on light-wheeled vehicles and associated items, as well as heavy-wheeled vehicles.
