Media wishing to attend must contact the 177th Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office by 3 P.M. Friday August 22, 2003.


Details: The United States Air Force Thunderbirds will be arriving at the 177th Fighter Wing at 6:30 PM, August 24, 2003. Upon landing the Thunderbirds pilots will be available for interviews by the media. The Thunderbirds are the premier aerial demonstration team of the United States Air Force. The Thunderbirds will be the centerpiece of the "Atlantic City Salutes the 100th Anniversary of Powered Flight" Air Show.

Thunderbirds Details: The Thunderbirds comprise six aircraft, performing formation flying and solo routines. The four-aircraft diamond formation demonstrates the training and precision of Air Force pilots, while the solos highlight the maximum capabilities of the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon. The pilots perform approximately 30 maneuvers in a demonstration. The entire show, including ground and air, runs about an hour and 15 minutes.
