2-102nd Freedom Salute Ceremony

 

 


     On Sunday, Sept. 18, 12:30 p.m., the New Jersey Army National Guard and its 50th Brigade will honor the Soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 102nd Armor, their families and those who supported them during their mobilization and deployment to support the Global War on Terrorism at a Freedom Salute Ceremony at the National Guard Armory in Port Murray located at 550 Route 57.

 

     The event is free and open to the public.

 

     In addition to the troops' family members and friends, the event may include participation by Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth – The Adjutant General of New Jersey, local elected officials, community representatives, senior members of the New Jersey Army and Air National Guard, veterans organizations and Family Program and Family Support personnel from around the state.

 

     The Freedom Salute Campaign is the one of the largest Army National Guard recognition endeavors in history, designed to publicly acknowledge Army National Guard soldiers and those who supported them during the President's call to duty for recent military operations.
