Details: The 50th Finance Battalion, New Jersey Army National Guard, part of the original Homeland Defense of this nation, will be holding an Open House November 1. The open house will highlight the men and women along with the equipment that is fighting the Global War on Terrorism while providing Homeland Defense and Homeland Security. Displays will include various military vehicles, chemical warfare, the New Jersey Army National Guard recruiting HUMVEE. The 50th recently deployed to Bosnia as part of the Stabilization Force where they were the first Army National Guard finance unit that was in charge of the deployment. The Battalion is part of the 57th Troop Command, which is one of three major commands in the New Jersey Army National Guard. The 50th Finance Battalion was recently relocated to the Flemington Armory to better meet both its federal and state missions.
