N.J. Guard To Send 330 Soldiers To Support Katrina Relief Operations
The largest single deployment of New Jersey Guardsmen in support of Katrina relief operations in New Orleans will take place on Friday and Saturday mornings from Fort Dix.
WHEN: Friday, Sept. 30 @ 6:30 a.m. WHAT: The advance party of 120 Soldiers will leave in a convoy of dozens of vehicles

Media will report to the Visitors Center on Route 68 just before the Fort Dix Main Gate by 5:30 a.m. for escort to the mobilization site.
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 1 @ 7:30 a.m. WHAT: An additional 210 Soldiers will leave by bus with families saying goodbye.
