Iselin Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard

Pvt. Yuro, a John F. Kennedy High School senior, has been assigned to E Company, 50th Main Support Battalion, located at the National Guard Armory in Jersey City. After completing Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., she will attend Advanced Individual Training as a Health Care Specialist. Health Care Specialists primarily responsibilities include providing emergency medical treatment, limited primary care and health protection and evacuation from a point of injury or illness. Additionally, Health Care Specialist assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment, preparing blood samples for laboratory analysis, and giving shots and medicines to patients.
