Merchantville Resident Joins New Jersey Army National Guard

Pvt. Fore, a graduate of Camden Catholic High School, has been assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st and 114th Infantry Battalion located at the National Guard Armory in Woodbury. He will attend Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C., and after completing basic; he will begin his Advanced Individual Training as a Signal Support Systems Specialist. The Signal Support Systems Specialist installs, employs, maintains, troubleshoots, and assists users with battlefield Signal support systems and terminal devices; integrates Signal systems and networks; performs unit level maintenance on authorized Signal equipment and associated electronic devices; trains and provides technical assistance to users of Signal equipment; and operates and performs preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles and power generators.
