Seniors Gather At The Vineland Veterans Home For First Golden Years Olympics
WHO/WHAT: Residents from six long term care facilities will be competing in the Golden Years Olympic as part of festivities for National Nursing Home Week. This is the first time such an event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Home and will feature a series of ten physical and intellectual events, which include bowling, shooting free throws, putting, bocce, bean bag toss, throwing Frisbees for distance, pie eating and trivia contest. At the conclusion Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in each category will be awarded along with trophies to the top three facilities who win the most awards during the course of the day.
WHEN: Thursday, May 14 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
