Volunteers Honored For 13,000 Plus Hours Of Service At The Vineland Veterans Home
WHO/WHAT: The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will honor volunteers at the Vineland Veterans Memorial Home for nearly 14,000 hours of service donated by individuals, corporations, veterans' organizations and community groups.
WHEN: Friday, April 17 at 12 noon
WHERE: Merighi's Savoy Inn, 4940 East Landis Avenue, Vineland
VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHTS:
PROJECT OF THE YEAR (two recipients):
Greenhouse: American Legion Department of NJ & Auxiliary & Sons of American Legion-Frank Calandrillo Jr.- Past A.L State Commander, Dolores Gonzalez- First Vice President A.L Aux. and Frank Jiosi Jr. Vice Commander- Sons of A.L
Fitness Trail: Knights of Columbus Ocean City Chapter Golf Tournament, William Flynn-Event Chairperson
GROUP OF THE YEAR:
Knights of Columbus South Chapter (Carmine Amico- DD Veterans Serviceman Chairman South)
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR (two recipients):
Robin Scarpa- provided countless hours of volunteerism within the Arts & Crafts Program.
Ted Donofio- Owner Ted's Pet Country Club- Volunteered daily to train Apache as our facility therapy dog. |
