WHO/WHAT: The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will honor the more than 600 volunteers at the Menlo Park Veterans Memorial during National Volunteer Week.

 

WHEN: Thursday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m.

 

WHERE: Pines Manor, 2085 Lincoln Highway, Edison

 

     Individual Volunteer program consists of 95 individual volunteers and 85 active youth volunteers in the program.

 

     Our organizational volunteers consist of over 100 various organizations.  There are at least 600+ organizational volunteers that come to our home on a yearly basis.  They provide bingos, entertainment, picnics, trips for dinner or lunch, theater, sports activities, and movies.

The American Legion is in the process of replacing the entire resident TV inventory with flat panel televisions.

 

     The Jersey Blue Daughters of the American Revolution and American Legion both sponsored purchases of seven Nintendo Wii units.
