WHO/WHAT: The New Jersey Veterans Service Office in West Deptford moves from leased office space to the Woodbury Armory – a move that will save nearly $28,000 a year. This is part of a continuing series of VSO relocations from leased spaces in Atlantic City, Jersey City and Elizabeth to nearby armories for an additional annual savings of more than $100,000.

DETAILS: The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs operates14 service offices across the state as well as offices inside the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs regional offices in Newark and Philadelphia. Last year, the VSOs helped New Jersey veterans collect $700 in federal benefits – a 10 percent increase over the previous year.
