WHO/WHAT:
Retired Army Col. Stephen G. Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans
Affairs, New Jew Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs,
will present state military awards to more than four dozen veterans
from Middlesex (44) and Union (4) counties. Veterans will be honored
at the mall's center court for their service in World War II, Korea,
Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm / Desert Shield and Operations Iraqi
and Enduring Freedom.
WHEN:
Monday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE:
Woodbridge Center Mall, Routes 1 & 9, Woodbridge
DETAILS:
Enter the mall near Applebee's between Macys and Sears, and then go
down the escalator to the lower level and enter Village Court near Sears.
This ceremony marks the start of a two-day visit of the veterans outreach
kiosk where veterans and their family members can learn more about benefits
or entitlements that they could be eligible to receive. The New Jersey
Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be bringing benefit
information to ‘those who served' as part of the Veterans Outreach Program
to the Woodbridge Center Mall from 10 a.m.
to 8 p.m. each day through Nov. 10.

The
next presentation of the New Jersey
Distinguished Service Medal and other state service medals will take
place on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 at the Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill.
