Gov.
James E. McGreevey held a Veterans Reception and Military Honor Awards
Ceremony on June 22 at Drumthwacket. The Ceremony honored New Jersey
active-duty, Guard, and Reserve who had served in Afghanistan and in
Operation Enduring Freedom. The New Jersey Medal of Honor was awarded
to 15 recipients including Petty Officer 1st Class Joseph Pycior, Jr.,
who was killed at the Pentagon when it was attacked Sept. 11.
