177th to Co-host Air Show

Boyd Gaming Corporation’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced it would present a special air show in cooperation with the 177th Fighter Wing and Atlantic City on Wednesday, August 27.

“ The men and women of the 177th Fighter Wing want to express their appreciation for the outstanding support the surrounding communities have shown since our mobilization in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE and the global war on terrorism,” said Colonel Michael Cosby, Commander of the 177th Fighter Wing. “What better way to show that appreciation than to host an air show over the beautiful beaches of Atlantic City.”

The entire air show, including the United States Air Force Thunderbirds and United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, will take place above and along the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Free to the public, the air show begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m.

Additional entertainment will include fly-bys orchestrated by the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey National Guard, a mid-air refueling by the 108th Air Refueling Wing, F-15 East Coast Demonstration Team, F-16 East Coast Demonstration Team, A-10 East Coast Demonstration Team, USAF Heritage Flight, F-18 West Coast Demonstration Team, U.S. Coast Guard off-shore search and rescue demonstration team.

Air Guard Host Vineland Vets

Staff Sgt. Staci Rohan, 177th Fighter Wing Support Group, assists a resident from the Vineland Memorial Veterans Home. Members of the 177th Fighter Wing and the 108th Air Refueling Wing held a barbeque for residents of the Vineland Memorial Veterans Home at the Warren Grove Training Range, June 26. Following the lunch, residents and Guardsmen watched A-10 Thunderbolts and F-16 Fighting Falcons perform strafing runs on the range.
