Photos and story by Tech. Sgt. Mark Olsen, 177 FW/PA
In a ceremony on August 1, held at the Woodstown Armory, Governor James E. McGreevey signed two bills into law that will benefit members of the New Jersey National Guard. The first law increases the minimum pay for Guard members on State Active Duty (SAD) to $100 a day. The second law establishes health care coverage through the State employee health benefits program. It applies to immediate family members of National Guard personnel called to SAD for 30 or more days and lose their employment- related health benefits coverage.
