If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES (a copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office):

Establishes, maintains, requisitions, and or distributes a variety of technical publications, technical orders and automated software pertinent to aircraft, equipment and maintenance for the logistics group maintenance function.  Maintains the ATOMS database for management of the technical order system.  In conjunction with work center supervisors, determines the requirements for technical data and/or ECS software to maintain current and new equipment using microfiche indexes, CPIN compendiums and cross reference tables.  Requisitions technical orders and/or ECS software using AUTODIN or mail as appropriate.  Receives, date stamps, inputs to ATOMS, and distributes technical data and/or ECS software to TO and CPIN accounts within the action to be taken.  Notifies all affected accounts immediately after receipt, involving the nature and purpose of electrically transmitted  TCTOs, and other TO's affecting safety.  If applicable, uses computer database and/or manually tracks ECS software revisions and coordinates with software contractors and managers of software currency issues.  Approves or disapproves Technical Order Distribution Accounts (TODA) and assigns account numbers to each. Furnishes policy interpretation and procedural guidance to several accounts and sub-accounts.  Conducts formal technical order training for new account and sub-account monitors.  May represent the unit at Technical Order Program Management Review (TOPMR) conference at Air Material Centers regularly to review latest change proceedings and make recommendations for improvement.  Maintains the maintenance central TO library for use by all maintenance functions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must Be Able to Type 40 WPM.

 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to perform the duties of the position.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 9 months experience establishing, maintaining, and administrating of Technical Orders. 

KNOWLEDGE of the rules, operations and practices of the TO functional program.

KNOWLEDGE of aircraft maintenance activities and preparing reports. 

KNOWLEDGE of regulations and procedures related to the type of work performed by the function. 

SKILL in communicating both orally and in writing.

 

SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  High school graduate or the equivalent may be substituted for 3 months of specialized experience.  Education in schools above the high school level may be substituted for experience on the basis of one academic year of study (i.e. 36 weeks of substantially full-time study, 30 semester hours, or the equivalent) for 12 months of the required experience.  Each 30 semester hours credited must have included at east 6 semester hours of courses which are directly related to the type of work of the position.
