MAJOR JOB DUTIES (a copy of the complete
position description is available in the Human Resource Office): Examines items received, notes overages,
shortages, or any damages incurred in shipping and prepares reports as
required. Insures items received are
properly stored. Notifies
operating segments of availability.
Determines stock replenishment for supplies and other
material within funding limitations.
Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system. Searches for identifying or
management data on items of supply.
Edits supply transactions, processes receipt, shipment, and/or
adjustment documents utilizing the Standard Army Retail Supply System 2 (SARSS-2).
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid
state driver’s license for the State of residence or employment.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in clerical or office work
such as maintaining records; screening, reviewing, and verifying documents;
searching for and compiling information and data; or work involved in the
physical handling of supplies and equipment which provided a knowledge of
supply transactions and regulations, procedures, identification codes, etc.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 12 months
experience in closely related activities which have provided the applicant with
a knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures, and
program requirements of one or more areas of a supply system.
KNOWLEDGE of standard methods of receipt or
material order documentation control and material processing.
KNOWLEDGE of regulations and
mechanized/statistical techniques in the computation and forecasting of
quantitative requirement.
KNOWLEDGE of regulatory requirements governing the
accounting for government property.
ABILITY to research information.
KNOWLEDGE of how to fill out, post, file,
control, or code supply documents or transactions.
SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Appropriate military training courses will
be credited on a month for month basis.
