NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS: Employment in this position requires
concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New
Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes: AFSC: 2S0XX
NOTE: THE INDIVIDUAL SELECTED HAS ONE YEAR TO
OBTAIN ADVERTISED AFSC/MOS
LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION: Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: To obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of
this position requires a minimum ASVAB Score of 44 in the General area and 41
in the Administrative area. ASVAB scores
will not be required to apply for the position, however applicants must obtain
required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the position. The applicant must
verify their scores with their Military Personnel Flight/Military Personnel
Office.
PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
METHOD OF SELECTION: NJDMAVA TPR 335.A Merit Placement Plan and
the current negotiated union contract.

MAJOR
JOB DUTIES (a copy of the complete position description is available in the
Human Resource Office): Performs
duties to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification
systems, property utilization, or any other related supply activities including
those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Manages
organizational supply support to include: (a) timely acquisition of supplies,
(b) Clothing (Issue/Storage/Recovery), (c) Organizational Bench Stock program,
(d) Routine and Priority maintenance supply support, (e) Processing of Mobility
Mission Capability (MICAP) requirements, (f) Due In For Maintenance (DIFM)
asset management, (g) Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) processing.
Resolves supply difficulties, confirms maintenance supply data and
status, forecasts supply requirements through coordination with internal and
external agencies to include base supply, weapons systems program managers,
Item Managers, commercial vendors, and production work centers. Manages the
Mobility Readiness Spares Packages (MRSPs). Manages the Mobility Bag (MOBAG) program. Maintains and/or
distributes required supply records. Serves as the organizations
Precious Metals Recovery Program (PRMP) monitor. Performs as primary
custodian for any assigned equipment and/or Special Purpose Recoverable
Accounts Maintenance (SPRAM), and performs duties pertaining to munitions
procurement, storage, distribution, and accounting to achieve unit training
readiness levels. Develops, establishes and maintains work center training
programs. Provides current data concerning the logistics and
supply status of the unit and the support required and available for current or
proposed operations as required. Serves as a point of contact to which
customers refer supply problems that have not been satisfactorily resolved at
other levels. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: NOTE:
Applicant must provide copy of current Personnel RIP with application.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in clerical or office work such
as maintaining records; screening, reviewing, and verifying documents;
searching for and compiling information and data; or work involved in the physical handling of supplies and
equipment provided this gave the candidate some general knowledge of supply
transactions and regulations, procedures, identification codes, etc.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must
have 12 months of experience in the following:
KNOWLEDGE of supply regulations, policies, procedures, and
instructions applicable to the specific assignment.
KNOWLEDGE of procedures for processing supply documents, to
include the identification of problems and trends, and the ability to resolve
discrepancies.
KNOWLEDGE to reconstruct records for supply transactions and
provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or
unique supplies, equipment, and parts to supported organizations’ missions.
KNOWLEDGE of requisitions, supporting documents, and reference
material to ensure adequate supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or
other operations requiring special handling.
NEW
KNOWLEDGE to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for
required information for complex supply transactions.
KNOWLEDGE of Theater Air Ground System missions, objectives, terminology, and management
practices sufficient to assess personnel and equipment supply requirements.
ABILITY to work well with customers and other offices on
program requirements for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items.
ABILITY to prepare documentation to effect additions,
deletions, and changes to items authorized.
KNOWLEDGE of supply programs and requirements to ensure
customer requests for automated products are satisfied.
KNOWLEDGE of various automated systems that interface with the
Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and other Supply management systems.
SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Appropriate military training courses
will be credit on a month to month basis. MUST SUBMIT CERTIFIED COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS
