MAJOR JOB DUTIES (a copy of
the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office):
Performs
the operation of Fuel Distribution System. Performs functions
in receiving, storing, transferring, issue and testing of fuels. Insures safety practices and regulations are
strictly observed and enforced. Performs
operators maintenance on refueling trucks and
associated equipment. Maintains
accounting records for the fuel distribution activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid state driver’s license
for the state in which you reside or are principally employed.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which
demonstrates the candidate’s ability to follow instructions and to safely
operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties to accomplish
the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:. Must have 12 months of experience in the
following:
KNOWLEDGE of fuel depots or fuel
farms.
KNOWLEDGE of and SKILL in receiving, storing, transferring, issuing and testing of
fuels.
ABILITY to perform operator
maintenance including inspection/manor repair of equipment. KNOWLEDGE
of accountable documentation required to ensure
audit trail of receipts and issue products.
KNOWLEDGE of safety regulations and
use of safety equipment.
SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Study successfully
completed in a college, university, technical or vocational school may be
substituted for experience at the rate of one year of study (30 semester hours
or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 6 months of experience. Courses must be directly related to the work
of the position.
