Attached is a news release from the Department of Veterans Affairs detailing an unauthorized loss of personnel data on up to 26.5 million veterans.  Also provided are Frequently Asked Questions and an Information Paper.  Please give this information widest distribution to veterans associated with your organizations.  This information is being posted to the NGAUS website www.ngaus.org.  Additionally, every veteran should take the action recommended in Paragraph D of the attached Information Sheet dated 23 May 2006…I did!
