Message from the Adjutant General
I am proud to introduce the revised New Jersey Veterans Guide; this version continues the tradition started in 1992 of providing information to assist the nearly 600,000 veterans in the state.
Extensive research and preparation went into the revision of the Veterans Guide as the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs strives to meet its critical mission of communicating to the Veterans of New Jersey on the vast array of State and Federal benefits and programs.
Keeping the Veterans community informed is part of the Department’s continuing outreach efforts to the many Veterans and their families in the Garden State that may be unaware of how to avail themselves of the wide range of entitlements, benefits and services that have been earned in service to this nation.
All Veterans and their families are encouraged to contact the Department’s qualified Veteran Service Officers who are conveniently located throughout the state for additional information or if assistance is needed in applying for an entitlement, benefit or service.
“Serving Those Who Served” is this Department’s commitment and honored vow to our Veterans whose courageous service and great sacrifice defended the freedom and liberty we hold so dear.
GLENN K. RIETH
Major General, NJARNG
