Q: Is the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home operated by the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs?

A: No. We are operated by the State of New Jersey - Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (Link to DMAVA web site?)

Q: To be eligible, do I have to have served during a combat period?

A: This is dependent on the war/campaign served.

Q: Are spouses entitled to reside at the NJVMH?

A: Yes. A spouse or widow whose husband's military service meets the admission criteria may be eligible as well.

Q: Can I bring pets with me?

A: We are sorry but pets are not allowed to reside in the facility. Pet visitation must be approved in advance (Link to activities - pet therapy?)
