DIETARY POLICY
It is the policy of the Dietary Department to provide nutritional care
for each resident and; therefore, enhance their quality of life.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Dietary Department will be to:
A. Plan menus to meet the nutritional and therapeutic needs of the
veteran home
residents in accordance with physicians' orders.
B. Prepare and serve attractive and satisfying meals under high
standards of sanitation for veteran home residents and personnel.
C. Establish a spirit of cooperative teamwork among all Food Service
Department employees in order to efficiently carry out the objectives of
the Dietary Department.
D. Provide a ready reference to establish procedures to assure that our
goal of providing quality food service is maintained.
E. Provide, at least, three (3) meals or their equivalent will be served
each day at regular times with not more than 14 hours between a
substantial evening meal and breakfast.
INTERNAL CONTROLS
The mechanisms for internal control will be accomplished by a monthly
internal audit of its operations by its supervisors.
