PHARMACY POLICY STATEMENT
The Pharmacy Policy of the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home facilities
is to establish uniform standards for the provision of quality services
to the veteran home residents of each facility.
The procedures outlined in the Pharmaceutical Policy and Procedure
Manual will provide:

A clear, systematic process for the application
of pharmaceutical procedures.
Established protocols, to be audited by the Consultant
Pharmacist.
Standards by which the Medical Staff will prescribe a quality
drug therapy program.
A guideline to be used by the contracted pharmacy provider for
supplies and services.
A reference source for members of the interdisciplinary review
team care team serving the residents.
Improved resident pharmaceutical services. |
INTERNAL CONTROLS:
The mechanisms for internal control will be accomplished by a monthly
internal audit of its operations by its consultant pharmacist.
