QUALITY IMPROVEMENT POLICY STATEMENT

 

The Division of Veterans' Healthcare Services Quality Improvement Program is:

 
 

* Designed to measure the efforts of the long term care facilities towards excellence.

* Designed to assist and assure the efforts of its employees are toward providing optimal levels of  performance.

* In accordance with the mission statement, to ensure that veterans and eligible others are provided with comprehensive health care services in a dignified, compassionate and professional and cost effective manner.


The Quality Improvement Program focus is to be one of a multi-disciplinary approach where appropriate actions are taken to implement a system to measure effectiveness. The Quality Improvement Program is a reflection of "Professional Standards of Care."

The Division of Veterans Healthcare Services Quality Improvement Program shall be designed to:

 
 

* Utilize the Veterans Memorial Home Facilities resources to meet the expectations of consumer  services.

 

* Comply with professional standards.

* Promote a positive work environment through a systematic and on-going process that addresses  monitoring, evaluation, problem solving and follow-up.
