INFORMATION DISSEMINATION

PURPOSE:

To keep personnel of the NJ Veterans Memorial Home Facilities informed regarding information of a personnel nature which is important to them.

DEFINITION:

Information dissemination is defined as the ongoing process of response to requests for various personnel-related information from both management and line personnel.

PROCEDURE:

A variety of methods are employed to disseminate information:

A. Memorandum - employed to provide information to individuals, specific groups, or the employee population in general as needed.

B. Orientation - on approximately a six-week cycle, general information of a personnel nature is given to new employees.

C. Facility Newsletter - used to disseminate information of a general nature.

D. Pay Check Inserts - used, as needed, to disseminate benefit information to employees.

E. Staff Development - at the request of the Staff Development Supervisor, presentations may be developed targeting various employee populations with information regarding personnel-related issues.

F. Reports - at regular intervals, or as requested, provide reports to DMAVA, CEO, outside agencies, etc.
