BUSINESS OFFICE POLICY STATEMENT

The policy of the Business Office is to make available the appropriated funds to meet all the needs of the various Departments/Units serving the veteran home residents of the New Jersey Veterans' Memorial Homes. Needs are identified as items necessary to accomplish the Departments assigned duties; such as, but not restricted to, space, telephone, copy equipment, office, medical and maintenance supplies and equipment. Needs will also include the fiscal requirements of the staff and veteran home residents by maintaining the resident's accounts.

The Business Manager of each facility is its Fiscal Officer and has the responsibility of prudently using the resources (Budget) made available by the Legislature. All purchase requests and the subsequent payments are handled by this office.

REGULATIONS
The Business Office is regulated specifically by the State Treasury's Policy, the DMAVA regulations, policies and procedures of the Division of Veterans' Health Care Services.
