Permits are only available at a agencies with driver testing services. Refer to each individual location listing. General hours of operation (except holidays): Monday- 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Suspensions and Restorations (Full Service Agencies) Note: NO SUSPENSION/RESTORATION SERVICE on Saturdays Assistance for walk-in applicants with questions about driving records, points or insurance surcharge. Driver Testing Centers offer vision and knowledge tests. Permits are only available at agencies with driver testing services. Refer to each individual location listing. Road tests can be scheduled at the centers, but will be performed at the road test facilities. General hours of operation (except holidays): Monday- 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Road test facilities Before taking a road test, you must pass MVC's vision and knowledge tests which are offered at any Driver Testing Center or Regional Service Center. You can also schedule a road test at these facilities or online. General hours of operation (except holidays): Monday-Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m. State inspection stations You are required to have a vehicle inspection every two years. MVC offers state inspection stations where you can have your vehicle inspected. You can search online to find a state inspection station near you. New car owners' inspection is valid for five years. After that, the standard two-year cycle applies. Inspection appointments are available at the following locations:
