Wayne Regional Service Center to Permanently Close
MVC expands services at multiple locations
 
(TRENTON) –The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) reminds customers that the Wayne Regional Service Center, located at 1578 Route 23 North in Passaic County, will permanently close on Friday, March 6, 2009.

First announced on February 2, the MVC will begin a phased approach to bring Wayne’s regional services, such as scheduled driver conferences and walk-in services to motor vehicle agencies in Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Sussex Counties. The new service locations, which will officially begin providing new services on Friday, March 6, are as follows:

Bayonne Agency – City Line Plaza, Route 440 & Kennedy Blvd. (Services: walk-in)
East Orange Agency – 183 South 18th Street (Services: walk-in and scheduled driver conferences)
Newton Agency – 51 Sparta Avenue (Services: scheduled driver conferences)

Three additional locations in Passaic and Essex Counties will begin serving customers on Monday, March 16. Customers will not be able to access regional services at these locations until the noted date. To ensure continuity of service, the Wayne RSC will remain in operation until nearly all alternate locations begin offering the services. The MVC will also continue to operate Regional Service Centers in Eatontown (Monmouth County), Trenton (Mercer County) and West Deptford (Gloucester County).
