Proposed Rule Amendments -- Enforcement Service

(TRENTON)--The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed: to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-34.3 to allow the Chief Administrator to deny a request for a particular combination or recall a plate that has been issued if the Commission deems the meaning of the requested alpha-numeric combination to be part of an enumerated category; to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-34.3 to allow the Chief Administrator to take administrative action against an individual who refuses to comply with a plate recall pursuant to N.J.A.C. 13:20-34.3; a new rule at N.J.A.C. 13:20-34.1 to explain the purposes of registration marks; and, to re-number of all subsections in N.J.A.C. Title 13, Chapter 20, Subchapter 34.

The proposed amendment is published in the February 1, 2016 issue of the New Jersey Register.  Copies of the proposal may be obtained on the MVC website, www.njmvc.gov; by mail or in person from the Motor Vehicle Commission, 225 East State Street, 9th Floor – East Wing, P.O.
