Proposed Rules Readoption with Amendments - Bus Safety Compliance Oversight, Enforcement, Out-Of-Service Violations and Penalties

The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed to readopt with amendments rules concerning bus safety compliance oversight, enforcement, out-of-service violations, and penalties.

The proposal includes amendments that are intended to conform the inspection requirements to those set forth in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

The proposed readoption with amendments was published in the August 17, 2009 issue of the New Jersey Register. Copies of the regulatory proposal may be obtained by mail or in person from the Motor Vehicle Commission, 225 East State Street, 9th Floor – East Wing, P.O. Box 162, Trenton, New Jersey 08666-0162; or by telephone at (609) 777-1407.
