The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed to amend its regulations to establish the Zone of Rate Freedom, within which autobus carriers may adjust their fares without the necessity of petitioning the Commission for prior approval, for 2006.

The Motor Vehicle Commission’s regulatory proposal was published in the October 17, 2005, issue of the New Jersey Register. The public has until December 16, 2005 to submit comments with regard to the Motor Vehicle Commission’s regulatory proposal. Comments should be directed to: Steven E.
