The Official Web Site For The State of New Jersey

myNewJersey Web Browser Support

What browsers can you use with myNewJersey?

myNJ only supports using browsers and operating systems that are supported by their manufacturers. Here's the current list we support:

Google Chrome logoGoogle Chrome (latest version) on one of these operating systems: Windows 7, 8.1 or 10; Apple OS X 10.9 or newer; Android 5.0 or newer; iOS 10; or Linux
Mozilla Firefox logoMozilla Firefox (latest version) on one of these operating systems: Windows 7, 8.1 or 10; Apple OS X 10.9 or newer; Android 5.0 or newer; iOS 10; or Linux
Internet Explorer logoInternet Explorer (IE) version 11 on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10
Microsoft Edge logoMicrosoft Edge on Windows 10
Apple Safari logoApple Safari version 9 or newer on either OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or newer, or on iOS 9

What does this mean?

If you use an unsupported browser, the myNJ web pages may not display correctly, or you may not even be able to connect or log on to myNJ.

Why aren't older browsers supported?

Unsupported browsers, like Internet Explorer 8, make your information vulnerable to theft and loss. The manufacturer is no longer releasing security fixes for these browsers and systems, and isn't making them able to use newer, stronger encryption methods.

What should you do?

A. If you're using one of the supported browsers listed above, you don't need to change it.

B. If you're using Internet Explorer 9 on Windows Vista, either switch to Chrome or Firefox, described in the next section, or enable Internet Explorer to use TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2:

  1. Start Internet Explorer
  2. Hold down the Alt key, press T for Tools, and select the "Internet options" item from the menu
  3. Select the tab labeled "Advanced"
  4. Scroll down the list to the "Security" section
  5. Check the box labeled "Use TLS 1.2"
  6. Click the OK button

C. If neither A or B above applies, you'll need to upgrade your browser, or switch to a different browser as described in the next section.

To upgrade your browser:
