Sara Cureton
Sara Cureton has been named Director of the Grant Program at the New Jersey Historical Commission.  She replaces Mary Murrin, who retired from the NJHC after 25 years of service.

Before joining the Commission staff in 2004 as grants assistant, Cureton was director of the Absecon Lighthouse historic site in Atlantic City and president of the South Jersey Cultural Alliance.  "Sara brings a great background to the grant director job," said Marc Mappen, NJHC executive director.  "She was a successful grant applicant before joining the Commission staff, so she understands the process from the perspective of our constituents."

Cureton has a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a master's degree in history from the University of York, UK.  She lives in Medford, Burlington County, with her husband and two sons.
