About MBE/WBE

Governor Corzine is committed to helping minority and women-owned businesses thrive in the State.  In an effort to do so, he signed Executive Order 34 (2006), which established a Division of Minority and Women Business Development within the Department of the Treasury.

This division tracks, monitors and reports on dollars spent with minority and women-owned businesses across the state departments and agencies. Further, now every state agency department, authority and college/university is required to designate a liaison to work with this division to complete its mission.

In addition, a Minority and Women Business Development Advisory Council has been established and charged with reviewing the State's procurement policies annually and will make policy recommendations to the Governor.

In this section, Minority and Women Owned business owners can get vital information and support on topics including certification, state procurement, financial assistance, start-ups, government programs and management assistance. Use the Online Services section to opt-in to get email notifications about state bidding opportunities.
