Red Tape Review Commission
The Red Tape Review Commission (RTRC) works to improve New Jersey's regulatory process, eliminate burdensome red tape and streamline business-to-government interaction.
On September 23, 2010, Lt. Governor Guadagno signed Executive Order No. 41 to establish a permanent bipartisan RTRC to eliminate unnecessary regulatory hurdles that did not comply with "Common Sense Principles." The RTRC was thereafter continued in Executive Order No. 155 and is comprised of bipartisan members from both the Executive and Legislative branches of State government, as well as leaders from the business community. Through public meetings, agency review and input from stakeholders, the RTRC thoroughly reviewed hundreds of proposed and pending State rules and regulations and provided the Governor with recommendations to withdraw or amend any proposed rules or recommendations that unduly burden New Jersey's businesses, workers and local governments.
The RTRC remains committed to its founding principles and continues to engage the public in this important process to help ensure that New Jersey's business environment continues to improve.
