New Jersey City University and The Community Colleges of New Jersey
New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey (NPTNJ)

New Jersey City University has partnered with the Community Colleges of New Jersey to offer a Masters Level program as an alternative to the conventional alternate route.

Key features include:

Arrow Credit bearing courses in a Summer I, Fall, Spring and Summer II Capstone Experience;
   
Arrow Pre-service preparation including observation and field experience;
   
Arrow Mentoring/coaching;
   
Arrow A standards-based approach – INTASC and professional standards;
   
Arrow Smooth transition for candidates who complete the program and qualify for admission into a Master of Arts in Teaching or a Masters of Arts in Educational Technology degree program.

 

The New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey program is offered at multiple locations including the main campus of New Jersey City University and at community colleges throughout the state of New Jersey.
