SRA - Special Review Assessment

SRA Guide
Eligibility for the SRA
SRA menu

Monisha received a proficiency score of 244 in Language Arts Literacy, so she does not have to retake this section of the HSPA: she is proficient in LAL.

Monisha received a proficiency score of only 189 in Mathematics. Monisha is, then, eligible for the SRA in mathematics. She will have to take special SRA instruction in math.

What does Monisha need to do?
If she takes the HSPA in the spring of her 11th grade year, she'll get the results in June. She'll then be able to take the targeted SRA instruction in the summer, if her school offers summer SRA, and must take the Math HSPA in the Fall. She does not need to retake the LAL test.

What does Monisha do after taking the HSPA in the Fall?

If she passes
the Fall HSPA Math
If she does not pass
the Fall HSPA Math
She's DONE!

The SRA tests (called PATs) may be given at any time during the SRA instructional program when the teacher feels that Monisha will be successful. They are given by the school personnel, individually to the student. This is arranged by the SRA coordinator in the district.
