Multi-Hazards Safety Program for Schools Training
Two sessions of this FREE two-day course are being offered by the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, session one on July 23rd and 24th and session two on August 13th and 14th (Based on response other dates will be made available.) This FEMA training has been developed to better prepare school systems to face the threat of a variety of hazards. Topics will include planning, safety, non-structural mitigation techniques, post disaster operations, the psychological effects of disasters, and recovery. IS-100.SC Introduction to the Incident Command System, I-100, for Schools
The Emergency Management Institute developed the Introduction to ICS for Schools (IS-100.SC for Schools) course in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education. The course is designed primarily for kindergarten through high school personnel.

Keeping Our Kids Safe Provides additional policies, guidelines, and resources for districts that are supported by the department's Safe and Drug Free Schools Unit.

To request any trainings or services please complete a Training and Service Request form and submit it to the School Security Unit via fax or e-mail. All requests will be reviewed and approved based upon priority and staffing availability.
