Program Description
Through a state grant, the New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis provides the following services for adults with cystic fibrosis:
  • Financial assistance for the purchase of supplemental nutritious foods, prescription drugs and medical supplies and equipment that are necessary for the treatment of cystic fibrosis;
  • Reimburses clients for up to $500 toward the cost of deductible on health insurance policy.

Eligibility
General Requirements:
Persons age 18 and older, uninsured or underinsured, and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
 
Income Requirements:
For the period of 07/01/2009 - 06/30/2010, the total amount of income for the individual with cystic fibrosis must not exceed $43,301. In instances where the annual income exceeds the eligibility limit: if the person incurred costs for prescription drug and medical supplies and equipment related to the treatment of CF, within the last 12 months, and after deducting these costs from the annual income, the annual income does not exceed the eligibility limit.

The Department of Health and Senior Services awards a state grant to the New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis to help provide financial assistance to persons with cystic fibrosis for diagnosis-related goods.
