Women or concerned family members of women who are or think they may be suffering from postpartum depression may call the Family Health Line at 1-800-328-3838 to obtain information on postpartum depression and referrals to clinicians who treat postpartum depression. The Family Health Line is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For a person in crisis, the staff at the Family Health Line will immediately connect the person to a mental health professional. For other non-emergency requests, the staff will provide information on resources and referrals to clinicians.
The Family Health Line is run by the Department of Health and Senior Services in collaboration with the Department of Human Services; the psychiatric/crisis centers and screening centers are administered through the Department of Human Services.
