Program Description
State and county hospitals are authorized to accept individuals in need of involuntary commitment under NJS 30:4-27:2 et seg.  Admissions are only accepted from emergency screening centers and short term care facilities.

Eligibility
General Requirements:
Individuals referred through emergency screening centers or short term care facilities who are in need of involuntary commitment
Individuals who are at risk of harming themselves, others, and/or property
 
Income Requirements:
No individual otherwise eligible shall be denied admission due to inability to pay or the type of insurance held.
