Disability Services consist of three Disisions: Temporary Disability Insurance Vocational Rehabilitation Disability Determination Services (Social Security Disability Insurance Program)
 
Program Description
Pay benefits to workers who become disabled due to a non-work related sickness or injury. Covered workers may receive up to 26 weeks of benefits for each period of disability. The weekly benefit rate is based on the worker's average weekly wage. Benefits are payable at two-thirds of the average weekly wage up to the maximum amount payable which is $470 for disabilities begining on or after January 1, 2005. The maximum weekly benefit amount changes on January 1 of each year. To learn more about the program see our website.

Eligibility

General Requirements:
A basic requirement of the program is that the individual with a disability must be under medical care.
 
Income Requirements:
A minimum of 20 weeks of employment or earnings of $5200 in New Jersey covered employment during the year immediately preceding the disability. The minimum earnings requirement is tied to the New Jersey minimum wage and will change on January 1 of each year.
