Chester Township in Morris County has 15,789 acres in the Preservation Area and 2,906 acres in the Planning Area of the Highlands Region. The municipality submitted a Petition for Plan Conformance for both areas, which was approved by the Highlands Council on October 21, 2010. Request for Map Adjustment: Glenlora Site, B 26.06, L 7

Chester Township is requesting an adjustment to the Highlands Regional Master Plan Land Use Capability Zone Map to modify part of an existing area of the Protection Zone to Existing Community Zone. The proposed Map Adjustment would allow for a 100% affordable housing project. The Highlands Council Review and Recommendations Report (below) was available for Public Comment between March 2 and April 2, and will be considered at an upcoming Highlands Council meeting.
