The NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (OHSP) is working with The Environmental and Occupational  Health Sciences Institute of  UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Rutgers University to identify a field of Homeland Security researchers from academia and the military within NJ.  Director Richard Canas is of the belief that such a list can help OHSP locate experts within the State when planning for resources or calling upon them for their expertise during or after (recovery) a natural disaster, accident and terrorist attack.

Filling out the Web form will allow OHSP to develop a formal and accurate entry for the secure OHSP database. Any personal or sensitive information, such as addresses and phone numbers, will be secured by OHSP.  Please note that only basic information such as name, university, and research project will be viewed by the public. The website will have various degrees of access by OHSP and those listed in the database.  As part of this effort, Rutgers will ask you for a picture, (optional), for the relational database that can be uploaded to the site.

For any details regarding this request, you may contact Joe Picciano at OHSP via e-mail at Joseph.Picciano@ohsp.state.nj.us

Researchers that may be of interest to the Homeland Security Database may be referred via e-mail to ohsptraining@ohsp.state.nj.us

To register we request that you do the following:

Fill in the on-line registration form>>

New registrations will take a few days to appear in the database since registrations will be reviewed for appropriateness for inclusion in the database. After review, you will be contacted regarding inclusion of a photo, and to obtaina copy of your Biosketch.

Please email ohsptraining@ohsp.state.nj.us if there are corrections or updates to your material. As this database is developed, we will offer a public search page as noted.
